PERSONAL MERIT LAUREL (RUBBERIZED)
Since there are differences even among those who excel, the decorations were given degrees, starting with the 5th degree and ending with the 1st degree, its highest rank, granted by the General Commander of the PMESP (Military Police of the State of São Paulo).
During the granting process, the entirety of the military police officer’s work is evaluated, not just a specific event that led to the nomination.
Even though it is not strictly considered a medal, the LMP (Personal Merit Laureate) is as coveted as those.
The Laureate was created through an order from the General Commander of the PMESP published in General Bulletin No. 197 of October 16, 1974.
The rubberized laurels are composed of:
Starting with the most important, we have:
1st degree: Golden yellow rubber medallion with a white background.
2nd degree: Golden yellow rubber medallion with a red background.
3rd degree: Silver rubber medallion with a red background.
4th degree: Silver rubber medallion with a black background.
5th degree: Bronze rubber medallion with a black background.
The medallion design is the shield that makes up the coat of arms of the São Paulo Military Police, with a stylized map of the State of São Paulo in the background, all surrounded by a striped band with the words: POLÍCIA MILITAR above and SÃO PAULO below.
Rubberized with Velcro.
